Living in the Rose Garden
The hose in the forest as I have already mentioned would spray out the best baklavah and the children who took to it loved it immensely. But that was the Tree God's plan. The children liked to eat the baklava and they thanked the Tree God for making the Hose all of their days. What they did not understand was that the Tree God made the hose to warm the forest floor becuase the baklava that it sprayed would decay and feed the Trees and the weeds. The Trees and weeds did not recognize that the food the enjoyed came from this hose, but it was so. The childen thanked the Tree God and said he was Great, but they were silly. They liked to call the Tree God, Charlie and they ran around telling stories about Charlie's greatest friend, a weed with a crown of thorns and a necklace that shined like a globe of the Earth's Surface. It was a great weed and they never wanted to let any other weed know what this weed even looked like. The thought that if they looked at the weed (the other weeds) that they too would want to wear a globe around their necks. So the Tree God let this happen and those children who ate baklava were good kids in their own right but they were never far from thinking of this mysterious Charlie that they knew was really good and benevolent. Charlie was a Tree like man form but he had claws and would cut holes in bedroom sheets if you did not sleep well at night. If you did not sleep well the Tree God that they really loved might take you from your house and put you in a tree and that would make you scared. The trees were very dark at night and they grew branches that might scare you and your goldfish too. I think that if you really liked this mysterious Charlie, you would realize that the Tree God was Real. If you didn't notice that the Trees were all doing very well and growing, especially in the future when they grew in the rose garden of the forest, the children who ate the baklava might be laughed at by the trees, but that was ok. The trees were not going away and the children just became weeds in the future. So if you like Charlie, the Tree God will enjoy listening to your song, but just remember, the Tree God is really a Tree God. He does not have a cigar in his lips and he does not smell like Cuba either. It is good to live in freedom and if you like baklavah the Tree God will truly make you happy in your days. But that is ok. The Tree God really wanted to put the Trees in the rose garden. He did put the hose there for a while and he did it to make sure there was baklava for the roses to enjoy, but that is not the garden of the future. The roses really needed the shade and love of the trees and that is how it goes. The hose can only go in the rose garden if the Tree God lets it do so and it does have a funny hose house in the garden that likely will always be there, unless the Tree God wants to make the Trees really grow fast and furiously. I do not know what this Tree God wants to do on that measure but I will say this, the roses have all the balkava they will ever need for eternity now and they will always be in bloom. And if you like milk and honey, the rose garden will always fill your cup with peace. Thanks!
