Living in the Garden of Eden

There one was a tall tree and it had diamonds in its canopy.  It grew and grew and grew and it had fruit that smelled like persimmons and french bread.  It was a nice tree and children from all around climbed on its branches.  But one year a small stump sprang from the ground.  This stump was named Pickles and it smelled like coca cola.  The kids soon left the first tree whose name was Power and they went to the new tree called Pickles.  But pickles was never a tree, just a mysterious stump that looked like it was once a tree.  And the kids loved pickles because pickles would turn purple and orange in the springtime.  But Pickles was really never a tree and all the trees knew that for a fact. That didn't stop the children from decorating Pickles with diamonds that they took from Power.  Power did not care much because his diamonds did not shine when they were removed from his branches.  Power had a sap that smelled fresh and liked to run all year long.  It made very tasty syrup and all the other Trees liked to smell like Power's sap.  The other trees liked to ideally cover themselves with Power's abundant sap and they basked in the sun light.  The other trees regarded Power with much trust because Power could never stop growing.  If someone tried to chop Power down, he might grow three more roots and then his branches were more prevalent as well.  Power never cared about the stump that was funny but never a real Tree. It was real to the children and if the children did not play with Power, he still was happy.  He loved to shine the eagles homes with a new fruit that was large and plentiful and smelled like a pomegranite.  This fruit was in bloom all year long except on Christmas.  On Christmas, Power just did not make more fruit but that was no big deal because the Stump named Pickles liked Christmas and made lots of matzos ball soup for his children year round.  None of them dared eat Pickles soup but Pickles was ok with that.  There was a Tree God and that Tree God was always happy all year long.  So if Pickles made soup or crackers or anything else the children loved Pickles all day long. The tree God actually made Pickles from a soup can and that was great.  The Stump made the Tree God laugh alot becuase the children stayed out of Power's way and Power was really the reason that The Tree God created the entire forest in the first place.  The forest always was prosperous and all of the trees lived forever in the future.  If a tree was broken by the act of nature like a lightening storm or hopefully never a meteor shower, the Tree God would just pluck it up and put it in a frying pan until the Tree God was sufficiently happy that the damaged Tree might either grow again or completely be forgotten by the other trees for the rest of the world's creation.  So if you like Power be glad its beautiful, but if you want to play with stumps that have funny colors that mesmerize, just remember that the Tree God is always happy and that you are just doing what the Tree God expected.  Be good and climb a tree though, if you play with Pickles and never see another tree, think of all the nice branches that you never get to visit.  Who knows, maybe a loving tree will let you make a Tree Fort and be a child in the canopy of success.  Thanks!
