Ode to the Camberstone

Suffice it you may
I was never fraudulent or "gay"

But you cancelled my check
And you spoke that I could not pay the rent

I worked in the dirge of the day
You sampled my voice like it was the hay

And you walked away from my queer soul
I was never the fish and never the bowl

But the sample of the moon is at large
You write the sonnet and I'll write the Love
