What I said to the governor

Trusted ally of mine and many
You are well and I am happy
What was it we did wrong
What did we need in our song

Our days are short and filled
There are plenty who want us to be billed
Our needs are health and we are seemingly wise
Our goodness may pass before our own eyes

So be a friend and shut out the light
When the day is done and all is at night
And when you go home and say grace
Let there be no strife on your face

  1. Noticing a sign on the governors desk which indicates that taxation begins immediately.
